Heavenly Father, you are a God of hope and healing. You sent your Son to minister to the sick and suffering. And you have given health care workers the desire and means to be healers as well.

Bless those whose vocation it is to continue your work among the sick. Fill them with your compassion and love for those they serve.  Give them the strength to persevere when they are so tired it seems impossible. Protect them from illness so they can continue to minister to others.  Give them hope even when situations seem hopeless.

Remind all of us not to take their service and sacrifice for granted. Help us to be generous with our thanks and with our financial support in areas where it is needed. We ask these things through your son, Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

Our Lady, Help of the Sick, pray for us. Saints Camillus de Lellis, Sebastian, and Dymphna, pray for us.
