Pentecost – Fridays from the Heart

May 17, 2024 | Blog Articles

Pentecost marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, empowering them to spread the message of Christ with boldness and clarity. As Catholics, we celebrate this feast as the birthday of the Church, commemorating the pivotal moment when the disciples were filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit.

But Pentecost is more than just a historical event—it’s a continuing invitation for us to open our hearts to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, we receive the same Spirit that emboldened the apostles, empowering us to live out our faith with conviction and courage.
