Reflection
Christ invites us to imitate and participate in his humility, to recognize that we are nothing on our own, but everything in Him. Ezekiel 36:26 says, “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” The heart of stone that Christ removes is a prideful one, one that is unable to trust in Him because it is too busy trusting in itself. The new heart given to us is a humble one, which shares and participates in the very humility of Christ, in His Heart. How can we grow in humility, and live in the new heart Christ has given us?
