School of the Heart

Spiritual formation for leadership teams

A program of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network

Does this sound like your team?

“We all pray—but we need help learning to pray together.”

“How can we be more intentional about praying as a team?”

“We serve our people tirelessly—but should we be praying with them?”

“We have important decisions to make and want a prayerful process to guide us.”

School of the Heart helps your organization build a communal instinct for prayer.

We accompany your team team in experiences of intentional prayer.
We give your team an experience of connectedness.
We help your team do everything you do more prayerfully.

How does School of the Heart work?

Immersive Retreat

The team enjoys a guided, semi-silent retreat.

Six-Month Accompaniment

Structured support with team prayer practices cultivates lasting change.

Mission Activation

Teams extend what they have received.

What might your team prayer practices look like?

Each team discerns its own prayer practices. The Holy Spirit guides what fits your team.

Love

Explore the burning love of God for every person—help spread the unquenchable fire of Jesus’ Wounded Heart to ease loneliness and inspire hope.

Serve

Unite with Pope Leo XIV to pray for the worldwide needs he identifies each month. The Holy Spirit may call some of us to extend prayer into additional action.

  • Prayer and reflection with the pope’s monthly intentions
  • Regular Team service projects

Connect

Experience the communal strength of the Body of Christ as we offer to God the details of our daily lives in prayer.

  • Daily offering
  • Intercessory partners
  • Shared Song
  • Eucharistic adoration
  • Spontaneous Prayer
  • Angelus, novenas, rosary, stations of the cross, Mass
  • Guided imaginative contemplation

Discern

Pay attention to the movements of the Spirit. Use imaginative prayer, the Examen, and other spiritual tools of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

  • Team examens
