Let’s pray for the Pope!

Mar 18, 2019 | Guest Author

Six years ago Jorge Mario Bergoglio was elected Pope. He chose the name of Francis, thinking of St. Francis of Assisi, “the man of poverty, the man of peace, the man who loves and preserves creation,” as he told reporters three days after his election.

Like St. Francis of Assisi, the Holy Father has sought precisely to be among the poorest of society, to be a man of peace and to defend creation, calling for everyone to respect the world we have been given.

Click To Pray, the official prayer app of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, invites you to give thanks for these six years and, in union with thousands of people around the world, to offer prayers for Pope Francis and his pontificate. Do you accept the invitation?

We pray that religious women and men, and seminarians grow in their own vocations through their human, pastoral, spiritual and community formation, leading them to be credible witnesses to the Gospel.
