At the beginning of June, Pope Francis greeted Polish pilgrims at the general audience and gave a Sacred Heart appeal:
Today we begin the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, source of love and peace. Open yourselves to this love and bring it “to the ends of the earth”, bearing witness to the goodness and mercy that spring from the Heart of Jesus.
As members of the Pope’s Worldwide Network, devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is an essential part of our spirituality, as we draw closer to Jesus’ Heart to conform our hearts more closely to His, listening attentively to the many challenges facing humanity.
May we open ourselves to the love of Jesus’ Heart and bring it “to the ends of the earth!”
